It worked for me for the first few transactions but they will give you a big headache but not getting your money on time. It takes a week for the money to arrive a bank account in the Philippines. As well if it is for pick up. So if you need the money for emergencies, etc ---- definitely XOOM will make the situation worst! NO to XOOM!!!!! Oh a big NO to Xoom. I transferred money to India on 17th Nov, on 20th nov , I got the status complete but after checking my NRI acct in Delhi, it never reached to the account. I called up xoom.com on 26th Nov and I was told that they will check with local partners. I didnt hear and when I called up on 5th december , they said that they found issue with this transaction with local partner. So summary is never ever use Xoom. It's a scam.
